Muse

An inspiring Stone Carving sculpture has to fulfill three basic demands:
  1. Cosmic Touch
The moment you see the sculpture, you recognize your eternal connection
  2. Creative
The sculpture expresses a new aspect of life. It shines a new light on something you always knew it had to be present somewhere.
  3. Signification
The sculpture has a unique personal meaning for every observer.

Muse...

Beginning 2010 Anja Berkemeijer Jansen, created the sculpture 'Muse', that  fully meets the above requirements.

Muse refers to the nine immortal goddesses who inspire artists, musicians, writers and poets.

But more than immortal, Muse connects opposite geometric forms, modern dynamics and flow in a unique massive construct.

Muse was formed with help of traditional stone and wood carving (!) techniques, that illustrate the powerful influence and beauty of soft techniques on hard material.

Enjoy Muse!
